Welcome. GreenRu was launched by Glenn Tsuchie on March 4th, 2020. It focuses on conscientious and creative applications of technology and information that are used to solve the numerous environmental challenges that face humanity. Through the creative tinkering, or hacking of our everyday surroundings, processes and lifestyles, we can find a way to heal and improve upon our environment, and find a prosperous and sustainable path for the future of the planet, and all of it’s people.
About the Author
I am a middle school teacher, currently living in California’s Bay Area. Though I am a happy to see that our biggest cultural institutions (corporations, government) have finally become serious about sustainable production, thre’s still a lot more work to be done. I created GreenRu to help ordinary people empower themselves and gain the ability to create lasting environmental change in their own lives and communities.
Though I have lived in Japan for most of my life, my home will always be in San Diego.And yes, I left my heart in San Francisco.
